It's funny, I had a sort of similar thing with Cory last year. I used to go to the gym and listen to podcasts, and I got one of Cory reading Bruce Sterling's "The Hacker Crackdown" and at the beginning of each podcast he'd do a little 'announcements' section, and one time he talked about how he was gonna be teaching at Clarion West and how great it was and what it could do for you, etc. etc.

That was the first time I ever considered going, and I applied, and I got in, and the rest is history. And I wasn't really a CD fan or anything - I had never actually read any of his stuff, just knew him from his EFF work - but I literally would not have gone to CW if it hadn't been that I happened to listen to him do that podcast. And then he was our teacher, and sitting in that room doing our one on one was so fucking surreal.

That has to be the boringest story ever, I guess. Sorry.
